RAM called the 1500's new trim levels Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited. All models come with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlamps with off time delay, and daytime running headlamps. Each model comes standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that produces 305 horsepower. Mainly for fuel economy, some of the 2019 models come with a hybrid system called eTorque. A 3.6-liter V-6 eTorque Engine Upgrade I is standard for Tradesman, Big Horn, and Rebel. The Laramie model comes with a 5.7-liter V-8 engine that generates 395 horsepower. For buyers who want a more powerful vehicle, the 5.7-liter V-8 eTorque Engine is listed as optional for all models.

Regarding towing capacity, 7,520 pounds is standard in the Rebel. All other trims can tow 6,520 pounds. If you want to increase the towing capacity to 11,540 pounds, ask your dealership for details about the proper equipment. Standard payload capacity is 1,930 pounds for all models. Four-wheel drive is standard only in the Rebel model. The 2019 RAM 1500 is a pickup truck with an SUV feel.
